Past Hockey Achievements
Tristan grew up playing in the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association and finished his minor hockey career with the Bantam and Minor Midget AAA Waterloo Wolves program. Following minor hockey, he went on to play for the local Jr. B Winterhawks and St. Catherine's Falcons of the GOJHL. Tristan played his Major Junior hockey with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL from 2018-2021. During this time he was honoured to be able to participate in some NHL interviews. In 2021 he received Defenceman of the year, the Wildcats Scholastic Player of the Year, the Rebecca Schofield Community Spirit Award, and was a Hockey Gives Blood Dayna Bron Award Nominee.
Tristan's favourite things about playing hockey are the competitive environment to enjoy with some great people, the transferable leadership and interpersonal skills, and the confidence, strength, and well-being it gives him as an athlete and person.
Coaching Experience
Tristan has been coaching with Snipe for 2 years now and has become a fan favourite, especially for on ice private sessions, defenceman specific sessions, and his mental performance training. His favourite thing about coaching is having fun with kids, giving back to the youth in the community, and seeing all the great new talent.
Education
Tristan is currently attending the University of Guelph for BSc. Human Kinetics, Neuroscience minor.
Personal Hobbies/Interests
Tristan loves to golf, play basketball, and travel. He aspires to play pro hockey, graduate with distinction, run/own an athlete development business, and be a Ted Talk/motivational speaker.
