Past Hockey Achievements
Karson grew up playing rep hockey in Guelph and finished his minor midget year in Kitchener. He then played a year of Junior A in the NOJHL for the Rayside-Balfour Canadians. After that he moved and played 2 years of Junior B in the GOJHL for the Elmira Sugar Kings.
Coaching Experience
Karson is relatively new to the Snipe team and he feels that being a hockey trainer or coach comes with its own set of awards! For starters, you get to share your passion for the game with others and help them develop their skills. Watching your players grow both as individuals and as a team can be incredibly fulfilling the sense of camaraderie that forms within a team you’re guiding is pretty special too. as a coach, you play crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive environment. That impact goes beyond the rink, teaching life skills like discipline, teamwork, and perseverance plus there’s always room for a bit of strategy and gameplay, which keeps things interesting.
Education
Karson has a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Criminology with a concentration in Law from Carleton University in 2023.
Personal Hobbies/Interests
Karson aspires to use his degree in criminology to become a police officer. In his time off, he enjoys golf, hockey and working out.
