JORDAN DELAURIER - SKILLS COACH

Past Hockey Achievements

Jordan's hockey career started in Iroquois Falls, progressing through the ranks from minor hockey to his final stint with the Timmins Bantam AAA and the Kapuskasing Midget AAA teams. After being drafted by the Kitchener Rangers, he embarked on a two-year journey with his hometown junior club; the Abitibi Jr. A Eskimos before making the transition to Kitchener, where he suited up for the Kitchener Jr. B Dutchmen and concurrently pursued his education at Wilfrid Laurier University. Throughout his junior hockey career, Jordan had the privilege of assuming leadership roles within both teams. 


Jordan's achievements also extended to representing Canada East in the World Junior A Prospect Games, earning a spot on the GOJHL 2nd All-Star Line, and competing in the All-Star Tournament for TEAM NOJHL. 


Notably, Jordan was also fortunate enough to don the jersey of the WLU Men's hockey team for a season while working towards his Bachelor of Education degree.





 

Coaching Experience

Since 2019, Jordan has been serving as an educator within the WCDSB, currently teaching Grade 6/7 at St. Anne Kitchener. From 2017 to 2023, he was an assistant coach for the Kitchener Waterloo Siskins Jr. B hockey club, being a part of the 2019 Sutherland Cup Championship run. In 2018, he took on responsibilities at Victus Academy, including teaching and working with student athletes on and off the ice, while also leading student/athlete development seminars. Prior to this, Jordan worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach, specializing in training elite and professional athletes, at Redline Conditioning as well as a coach at the Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy.

Education

Jordan has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in      Psychology from WLU and a Bachelor’s degree of Education from WLU.  


 

Personal Hobbies/Interests

Jordan loves to stay active, play golf, hockey and baseball. His passion is giving back in any way he can, from coaching volleyball to helping out with the cross country & track team at his school.
